me: ugh, this coffee tastes like cinnamon. I hate cinnamon.
classmate: why does it taste like cinnamon?
me: my lipgloss is cinnamon-flavored.
classmate: but... if you hate cinnamon, why would you wear cinnamon-flavored lipgloss?
me: BECAUSE IT LOOKS AWESOME.
classmate: I don't get it.
This is further proof that boys, no matter how impeccably-dressed and generally fabulous though this individual classmate is, sometimes just do not understand.

You hate cinnamon? But... but that's so wrong!
Jen: yes, truly. I hate cinnamon. I think I OD'd on a box of Red Hots as a child, and was scarred for life. I'll avoid it to the point of always substituting ginger, nutmeg, or allspice in any recipe that dares to ask me to use cinnamon, even the treasured family pfeffernuesse recipe.
